This agenda includes global actions in the areas of poverty eradication, food security, agriculture, health, education, gender equality, reduction of inequalities, energy, water and sanitation, sustainable patterns of production and consumption, climate change, sustainable cities, protection and sustainable use of oceans and terrestrial ecosystems, inclusive economic growth, infrastructure, industrialization, among others.

ABOUT PIAUÍ STATE FOR INVESTORS

Piauí stands out as an exceptionally favorable environment for renewable energies due to a unique combination of geographical and climatic factors. With vast land areas available and predominantly sunny weather throughout the year, the state presents ideal conditions for large-scale solar energy generation. Furthermore, the abundance of steady winds along extensive plains and coastal areas makes Piauí a privileged destination for wind energy production. These natural characteristics provide a solid foundation for the sustainable development of solar and wind parks, positioning Piauí as a leader in the transition to clean and renewable energy sources.

In addition to its potential in solar and wind energy, Piauí also stands out for its progressive vision and investments in emerging technologies, such as green hydrogen.

AT A GLANCE

Wind power potential: The state boasts the third-largest wind power potential in the country, with 44% of Enel's projects in Brazil located within its territory.

Largest wind farm in Latin America: The Lagoa dos Ventos Wind Farm, situated in the municipalities of Lagoa do Barro do Piauí, Queimada Nova, and Dom Inocêncio, is the largest wind farm in Latin America.

Largest solar plant in South America: The São Gonçalo do Gurguéia solar plant is the largest in South America, with a production capacity of 1,500 GW per year.

Fourth position in residential solar energy: Teresina, the capital of Piauí, holds the fourth position among Brazilian cities in terms of solar energy generation for residential consumption.
