Biogas upgrading systems are technologies that remove carbon dioxide (CO₂) and other unwanted gases from raw biogas, transforming it into biomethane, also known as renewable natural gas (RNG). RNG is virtually identical to natural gas but is produced from sustainable sources like organic waste. Biogas upgrading allows RNG to be injected into the existing natural gas grid infrastructure, enabling its use for various applications including: Vehicle fuel, Heat and power generation and Industrial feedstock.
